Uncle Sam - Live For Today

Feels great to get this one out to you guys. Definitely one of my favorite releases so far. This is actually one of the tracks that kicked off Pastime & my collaboration. We've known each other for years and used to drum together, but started out making hip-hop separately. Then one day my buddy pointed me towards his MySpace page (yes, that's what he uses) & I heard this. What?! I freestyled over some of the beats I'd just found and sent 'em his way. This is the second of our songs to hit the net since then. Two more will arrive with my debut mixtape, Live Free or Die, coming soon.

Turn this up & enjoy. Hopefully it will inspire you the way it inspires me. All I ask is that you help get the word out- share it with your friends, turn up your car stereo and drive in circles around the neighborhood, whatever. Just let 'em know.

I posted this on my Facebook page the other day, but here it is for those of you that aren't following me there: The official cover art for the next single off my debut mixtape, coming soon.

As you might have guessed, the track is called Live For Today. This is actually one of the first songs I recorded over a Pastime Production, so I'm excited that I'm finally going to be able to share it with you. It's definitely deeper than some of my other offerings, and is a great introduction to my outlook when it comes to music, and life in general.

Stay tuned for a release date, both for this song & the mixtape. Couple loose ends to tie up on the business side of things & then we'll be ready to rock & roll.

Uncle Sam - The Learning (Freestyle)

Just shot & edited this video over the weekend for ya'll. A little taste of what's to come. I'm finishing up my mixtape right now, but I didn't think it was fair to leave you all hangin' in the meantime. I'm real excited about how it's coming together. I've got a HUGE new track with Pastime, who I last linked up with for Summer Daze, as well as a few other surprises. Hope everything's good on your end. I'll be checking back in real soon.

Uncle Sam - Fort Knox (Produced Alchemist)

Yo - check out this new one I just banged out over the weekend as part of a contest Alchemist is holding. Whoever he's feeling the most over this instrumental wins an opportunity to work with him on an original project. I'm a big fan and this would be a great experience, so I put a lot into this one. Win or lose, I'm proud of how it came out. So bump that shit & put the word out. Let me know what you think too.

Uncle Sam - This is It

A little while back Crooks & Castles partnered up with HipHopDX to run a contest. They provided the beat, you provided the lyrics, winner got to keep the beat. This was my submission. I didn't win, and originally wasn't gonna release this track, but I feel like enough time has gone by that the winner has done whatever he was gonna do with his single and I haven't hit you guys with anything new in a while. So here it is. I'm real proud of this one. Let me know what you think, as I WILL be re-working this one over an original production. Why not let my fans have some say in it?
