RIP Christopher Wallace. On this day 16 years ago, one of the greatest- if not the greatest- rappers of all time was gunned down in Los Angeles. Though B.I.G. died that night, his words echo to this day, touching millions. He was blessed with a gift, which he in turn passed on to us. His appeal was universal. Just read the comments on any youtube video- there are people checking in from all over the world.

I still remember the day I bought Ready to Die. I thought it was just another album, one I'd listen to for a bit and then forget about. I bought it used, almost an afterthought. I didn't know that by the end of the week I'd know the words to every song, nor that I'd still know them to this day. "My man Inf left a tec and a nine at my crib..." You know the rest.

B.I.G. told stories that never got old, jokes that never got stale, and rapped with a flavor that is fresh to this very day. Most importantly he was himself. He talked about what he knew, who he was, what he went through. And he did so with such honesty that we all could relate. He spoke with raw human emotion. No matter where you came from, he pulled you into his world and showed you what he saw. And we all learned from it. I, for one, was inspired by it.

So thanks, Big- and go easy on the "goodie goodies" up there.

This is gonna be a crazy show! I'll be performing a ton of songs off of Live Free or Die & I've got some killer acts coming to rock with me as well. Get there right at 8 though- we're starting this thing early so that I can be offstage early enough to party with you maniacs before last call.

And if that doesn't sound awesome enough, I'll also be giving away a pair of Bruins tickets to one lucky fan.

See you there!

It was really the first year that I flipped the switch from rhyming as a hobby to truly pursuing it as an art form and a career that I can stake my legacy to. None of this would have been possible without the support from YOU, my fans though. So as we start a new year & a new chapter in this journey, let’s take a moment to reflect on the past.

The Learning: 2012 marked the release of the first official Uncle Sam music video, to accompany the freestyle over the Mobb Deep song of the same name. Havoc’s one of the most underrated producer’s of all time. I plan on working with him personally one day.

Live For Today: Speaking of producers, last fall I released the first song my main collaborator, Pastime, and I recorded together. This track not only launched a successful musical relationship, but speaks to my outlook on life and the foundation for my motivation. Don't put off for tomorrow.

The Knitting Factory: This was probably my favorite moment of the year. My first real show, and it was at the famous Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. A lot of you came out & we tore it up, highlighted by this sing-a-long to Get With It. Can’t wait to come back & do it again.

Just Hip-Hop's Launch: There’s tons of great hip-hop out there, and the genre’s constantly evolving. As fans, we only have so much time though. JHH isn't a website, so much as a constantly evolving (and interactive) playlist of dope hip-hop, both new and old.

Live Free or Die: My debut & the foundation we're building off as we head into the future. They say the first step is always the hardest. Well now that that's out of the way, let's get this thing moving.

I haven't been this excited about a new year in a while now. 2013 is gonna be a wild one.

The time has come. I can only hope you get as much out of this as I've put into it. So check it out. It's free to listen. Free to download. All I ask is that you do one thing in return: Spread the word. Put it on your mp3 player and take it with you wherever you're going this weekend. Post it on your facebook wall. Play it for a friend. Tweet about it. E-mail it to your crazy uncle. Whatever. Just rock the fuck out with me. This is only the beginning.

Wow, what a show. You guys were amazing last Friday. The venue was in Brooklyn, but people came from all over. New Hampshire, Mass, Connecticut, & every corner of New York City. I honestly had no idea what to expect when I got on that Amtrak at 5:00 on Friday, but seven hours later I was having the time of my life. Things went off without a hitch, and it was a blast. My favorite part might've been when everyone learned the chorus to Get With It after just one time through. Shit was live, check it out:

After my set, I stuck around and caught the dude Kounsel, who was no slouch himself. Gotta give an extra shoutout to HBO too- we ended up partying on their tab all night with the Girls production crew. So that was nice. All around, real solid evening & I appreciate you all coming out more than you even realize. Really touched.

Check out more Pics HERE, and video HERE.

If I got your e-mail address after the show, I just sent you an advanced copy of my mixtape, so check your inbox. If I didn't get your e-mail, but you want to join the mailing list, you can do that right HERE. Its worth it.

Can't wait to rock out with you guys again soon!

Oh, almost forgot- I might need to look into a tourbus for the next trip. On my way home, some junkie started robbin' kids for their Cheetos & chasin old ladies around the rest stop. Then he decided to hang out with us on our bus 'til the staties arrived. Could've done without that, but oh well.

Uncle Sam Invades New York

Uncle Sam is finally coming to New York City. I'll be performing at Brooklyn's famous Knitting Factory as part of a hip-hop showcase presented by SpaceLab Records.

This is my first time rocking in NYC and I couldn't be more excited. I'll be doing a mix of songs of my upcoming album, as well as some old favorites. I need you guys to come out & get rowdy with me. You never get a second chance at a first impression, and I don't want ANYONE to forget this.

Tickets can bought right here for $5 in advance, or $10 at the show: http://www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/153989

Make sure to show up as close to 11 as possible so we can get things underway on time. This place has a sick bar, in addition to the venue so there's plenty of booze to keep you busy until showtime. I might even have a couple brews with ya myself.

Feels great to get this one out to you guys. Definitely one of my favorite releases so far. This is actually one of the tracks that kicked off Pastime & my collaboration. We've known each other for years and used to drum together, but started out making hip-hop separately. Then one day my buddy pointed me towards his MySpace page (yes, that's what he uses) & I heard this. What?! I freestyled over some of the beats I'd just found and sent 'em his way. This is the second of our songs to hit the net since then. Two more will arrive with my debut mixtape, Live Free or Die, coming soon.

Turn this up & enjoy. Hopefully it will inspire you the way it inspires me. All I ask is that you help get the word out- share it with your friends, turn up your car stereo and drive in circles around the neighborhood, whatever. Just let 'em know.

I posted this on my Facebook page the other day, but here it is for those of you that aren't following me there: The official cover art for the next single off my debut mixtape, coming soon.

As you might have guessed, the track is called Live For Today. This is actually one of the first songs I recorded over a Pastime Production, so I'm excited that I'm finally going to be able to share it with you. It's definitely deeper than some of my other offerings, and is a great introduction to my outlook when it comes to music, and life in general.

Stay tuned for a release date, both for this song & the mixtape. Couple loose ends to tie up on the business side of things & then we'll be ready to rock & roll.
